Bohs 1-1 Dundalk

Just for a minute there we were looking up. We were level on points with Bohs we were distancing ourselves from those around us. Maybe we can leave the relegation fight behind us and move on up the table and join the fight for European places.

Then a penalty decision which caused quite a lot of conversation. Was it a foul on Dan Cleary? Was it a penalty? Was the referee going to be lynched if he didn’t reverse his decision?

‘Definitely yes’ is the answer to one of those three questions.

And so we went from looking up to looking around us again. We’re still in the middle of a battle to avoid the dreaded relegation playoff. But we’re also only a couple of good results away from being in the European conversation.

It’s been a weird season.
